Communications
We are updating and improving our communications and would love your help in the process. As a growing church this is an important step in sharing God's heart and important information with our community. This can encompass social media, taking photos and videos, website content, and more.
Crews
Crews at Traverse are our small groups that build community around shared interests and topics of study. In these groups we gather and encourage, study, and pray together, and have a supportive group to do life with. Crews create a consistent community outside Sunday services and meet weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

Greeters
Greeters say hello to guests and help them feel welcome when they arrive before services. These volunteers have an important role in shaping someone's first impression of our church. You don't need to be prepared to answer every question - just have a genuine, friendly presence - and say hello! Greeters stand at the front doors, at the Welcome Center, and at the auditorium doors. They serve either before first or after second service.
Hospitality Team
Hospitality volunteers help to make coffee, refreshments, and communion available for guests. On Sunday mornings, a team sets up before first service and restocks the communion and coffee supplies between services. Another team cleans up and puts away the coffee and communion supplies after 2nd service.
Parking Lot Team
This new team will help to direct traffic on Sunday mornings. This is a great opportunity to welcome guests and assist church attendees as they arrive to the property. The Parking Lot Team serves in approximately 30 minute shifts - before first service, between services, and after second service.
Prayer Team
Prayer Team members actively pray for the needs of people at Traverse and community. You can serve as part of the prayer team in any of the following ways:
Security Team
Security team members are on-site during Sunday services as a part of the emergency response plan. This role keeps an eye out to ensure safety for everyone in and around the building. Instructions and training will be provided. Both first and second service shifts are available.
Tech Team
The Tech team helps facilitate Sunday services by running sound, lights, slides, and live stream on Sunday mornings. It's a behind the scenes team that makes what's in front of the scene possible. If you like working with audio/visual technology this could be the role for you! Training will be provided.
Traverse Kids
The Children's Ministry teaches and cares for kids who attend Sunday classes. Volunteers are essential to this vital ministry that equips kids to know Jesus and grow in their faith. Whether it's holding babies, checking in families, playing a game, or teaching a lesson, your help plants seeds that impact lives. Children's Ministry volunteers help on Sundays, either for first or second service.
Traverse Student Ministry
Volunteers are so valuable on Summit nights, when TSM meets at the church on Sunday evenings. It's a chance to hang out, enjoy the company of our students, and be a support.
Worship Team
Worship team members use their talents to lead the congregation in worship. They are scheduled approximately once per month. On the weeks they serve, they there is a mid-week Wednesday evening practice, arrive early on Sunday mornings, and lead worship during services.
